Decidedly a Good Evening

Tonight was decidedly a good evening - despite getting shafted repeatedly during the daytime, including by a midterm taken in a room that's normally ass-freezing but today was made warm and sophorific to increase the chances of failure.

After said midterm, Sam, Chris, and I went back to 5e to drink small amounts of Chris' 15 year old scotch (now that's some tasty shit). That visit, of course got dragged out to a nice long relaxing time spent on 5e joking around about everything from kitties to ass-balm. I didn't realize just how much I needed to be away from Random until I spent quality time elsewhere.
In any case, after it was well-determined that Kim + alcohol = amusement, I left and attempted to find a copy of the Lorenzaccio - an obscure french play for my theater class.
These efforts, of course, were thwarted by the absence of every copy of this book in both the Hayden and Barton libraries. Luckily for me, my sense of shirking responsiblities kicked in just then, and I decided there was no real value in my worrying over it, so I joined the trip to Manray to watch the Cruxshadows live.
On my way there, some drunk was attempting to impress his buddies with some show of manliness, and I gave him the bird, which caused all his friends to laugh at him. That was kind of empowering. The concert was really excellent - Rogue is decidedly quite hot, and I even got to dance onstage with him at the very end of the concert, along with a bunch of other happy goths. I've also now got their Frozen Embers CD, and residual sweat from the hug Rogue gave me while signing the CD insert. The sweat, unfortunately, needs to be showered off along with the smell of cloves and angst (it's really too bad you can't choose to selectively wash off layers of dirt).
Ah well. Off to shower... I'm so glad I went to the Cruxshadows concert.
Oh, and as an extra added bonus: someone emailed me not more than 15 minutes after I got back from the concert with an offer to loan me her book. I'm so glad I didn't stick around and angst over a book that would eventually come.
