I just wanted to point out that I hate people who ask me "are you mad at me?" not for my sake but purely for the sake of their own peace of mind.
"If you really wanted to know for my sake, you wouldn't be in a situation where it's necessary to ask. Please stop pretending that you give a crap about what I think - act on it. There's no nobility in self-inflicted guilt and martyrdom - only whininess, depression, and the scorn of peers. Cut your losses, accept, and leave me to my goddamn work already."
