Last night I was visited by some fairly interesting, almost hallucinogenic dreams - most likely induced by a combination of an unfamiliar bed and the digestive results of a bedtime bowl of Frosted Cheerios. I believe I even woke up and accidentally logged it in my Live Journal account, with the intent of putting it in the Bubonic Plague Luncheonette, as I woke this morning to find a half-coherent blabber smeared across my normally blank Live Journal page. After removing what sounded like a lot like a liquor-soaked-goth-flambe entry from the journal (and in so doing, hiding the shame of my distinct lack of talent in the dark musings department), I vaguely recalled that the goth-flambe dream was followed up by yet another hallucinogenic dream that vaguely involved a sexier, dignified, and refined version of Boris the Ratcatcher. Thank god I didn't remember enough of that one to log it.
No more Cheerios at bedtime. Ever.
Nightcaps, yes. Cheerios, no.
All's well on the job frontier - I've been assigned to a temporary boss for June, as the guy I'm currently working for will be in China for a business trip. My temporary boss is a former BBC employee also kicks an enormous amount of ass. I've also been assigned to a real project involving making a buffer chip for LCD-drivers.
Today I got lost in an attempt to find the first-floor cafeteria, but the search was well worth the trouble, as I discovered that not only do they sell little packages of the red licorice I'm addicted to, they give you a free bag of Cheetos with your sandwiches. Will the benefits to this company never cease?
Still more good news in the works, as my dear friend Hilary has informed me that the dresses we ordered have arrived:
My dress
Hil's dress... very sexy, very dignified
I'm thinking that a trip to ManRay is definitely in order at some point - new dress and (soon to be) new boots - need somewhere to go! Or at the very least, someone to show them to.
And now, to make up for last night's restless slumber - maybe have pleasant dreams about Jerrod instead.
Further bulletins as events warrant.
